Folkestone Invicta A completed a hatrick of Kent Adult Disability league titles on sunday by beating Maidstone United 1-0,Thanet Galaxy 3-0, Folkestone Invicta B 2-0 Invicta Valliants 7-0 ,With Ricky Burden doing the damage scoring 7 goals.This was a brilliant performance from Stuart Laws team .This is with one round left to play when they collect the trophy on 13th May .
Folkestone Invicta B kept the pressure on the runners up spot with an important 1-0 win over Maidstone United thanks to Damian Barnett s goal for John Thornton's team ,as well as winning 3-0 against Thanet Galaxy though a 0-0 draw with valliants was the only downside .However this means they need to win at least three of there final round and hope for some help from the other teams.as 2points behind.
Folkestone Invicta championship level team won 4-0 against Invicta valliants ,Tom Chambers with all four goals,they won 3-0 against canterbury and drew with Charlton Athletic 0-0 and Maidstone silver 1-1 losing 2-0 against Maidstone gold.
With the teams all playing well hopefully they can carry this form forward to June 's Tournament in Belgium.
Hythe Veterans 3-1 Folkestone Invicta D.F.C.
Invicta suffered their first defeat of the season to a good veterans side ,Hythe started brightly with the lively Parky causing Invicta problems with Law and Barnett keeping them at bay .Chambers tested the Hythe keeper from distance after good work from Thornton .Hythe took the lead when Lee saved but the ball fell to Parky to slot home.Scott Porter Marshalled the Vets defence with very little getting Behind him and when the Vets got a freekick out wide Porters Delivery found Parky on the far post to slot his second home.Invicta won a corner as they pushed forward and Thornton rattled the crossbar before Parky done the same at the other end.
Invicta pushed forward in the second half and created early chances but the final ball went astray .Hythe then countered and after a couple of deflections the ball again some how found the net to put Hythe 3 up .Invicta rung the changes and seemed to get more joy winning a couple of corners then Wilson got clear only for the vets keeper to save superbly .Wilson flicked on for Lefevre who got down left but shot wide.Invicta Pulled a goal back with a great move thornton found J.Hughes breaking down the left his cross flicked on to Burden who fired home into the corner.Burden nearly added a second when Wilson found thornton who put Burden clear only for the Vets Keeper to save Brilliantly again.
Froud Law and Barnett defended well with Stephens pushing forward in midfield but to no avail.
I was pleased with our Performance though felt we gave them a bit to much respect first half and didnt get going till the second.The vets played well and the expierience told.

Maidstone United 0-4 Folkestone Invicta
Folkestone Invicta produced a good all round performance to see off Maidstone .Invicta soaked up some early pressure with Turner Froud and Causer making good Tackles and feeding the Midfield .Invicta went close when Shepherd fired wide and from Stephens free kick the ball found Barnes to fire Home only for it to be ruled out for Offside.Two minutes later Invicta took the lead when Harding found Barnes who 's superb cross was turned in to his own net by a Maidstone defender .Maidstone broke away and Lupepe s tackle was ajudged a foul and from the free kick Maidstone fired wide.After the Break Invicta Stepped up a gear with Captain Stephens and Harding exchanging passes for Hughes in space and his cross was saved .Hughes then got down the left and played the ball back to Harding who Curled his shot into the top corner from 25 yards.Maidstone still pushed forward and Warde made a good tackle and J.Hughes cleared off the line .Invicta had joy down the left and again Harding produced the goods and when the ball was cut back to him again curled into the bottom corner past the unsighted corner. Changes were made and Graham Dray got in a good block in midfied and then Stephens set Chambers away and he made no mistake from close range for number four.
Ipswich Town 0-5 Folkestone Invicta
After a fifthteen minute break Invicta came out with all guns blazing in an astonishing Twenty minutes after a couple of changes from the first game Harding Wilson Exchanged passes before Stephens put Chambers who fired low past the keeper to give Invicta the lead .Invicta build up down the left was good with Barnes getting Fouled .From Hardings Floated free kick Wilson Headed home into the corner for number two .Invicta then won a corner on the left which was Delivered to the far post towards Wilson who had his shirt held as he jumped and the referee pointed to the spot .Stephens stroked the penalty home for number three .The fourth came again from a corner this time Shepherd found Harding who headed just inside the post for the fourth .Stephens then put Chambers clear and he neatly lifted the ball over the keeper for number five before the break.
Ipswich came out for the second half like a different team putting Invicta under pressure from the off.Invicta again made changes .Lee saved well twice and Hughes again cleared from a corner .At the other end Lewis went close .Marsh made a crucial tackle when Ipswich broke .But they could not force a Breakthrough of Invicta's Backline.
These were two awesome performances from the players today on a Boggy surface.Our passing was good and finishing.Defensively we did not make any mistakes and always covered each other.

Invicta started Brightly passing the ball well and at pace in midfield creating chances for Burden and Chambers with Burden clipping the Bar .Charlton defended well and attacked on the break but shooting wide.Invicta made the break through on 15 minutes whe Burden latched on to a through ball and fired home .Harding and Froud kept Charlton out at the back .Burden then closed down defenders and shot past the keeper for his second.Invicta then forced a couple of corners and from the second one Harding volleyed home number three.This seemed to fire the Addicks back into life and they pulled a goal back as the Midfield failled to close down and their Midfielder fired home from 25 yards.Pope then struck for Invicta with the outside of his foot into the top corner from 20 yards. Charlton responded and their midfielder got his second when his curling cross shot sailed over Hughes into the net.
After Half time Charlton pulled a third back with a hatrick for their midfielder again from 20yards .The best move was for Invicta's fifth starting with Barnes pass finding Pope who fed Maylon on the left wing and his pinpoint cross was Headed home by Burden to complete his hatrick. Invicta won a freekick 25 yards from goal for hand ball and Pope dispatched it into the net via the underside of the Bar .Burden got his fourth latching onto athrough ball and rounding the keeper .Hughes had to be sharp off his line to denigh an Addicks attack. Shilling fired wide and Chambers went close. Then from Bolton's corner Harding fired home number eight .Stephens put in Pope and he beat Defenders and slotted Home .Maylon fired high when in a good position .At the other end Barnes and Bolton denighed Charlton space with good challenges.Lefevre 's long range pass from defence found Chambers in behind the backline to get the tenth goal.
Passing and finishing wise we were good today defensively we were great .We just got to close down midfielders Quicker.But was pleased with the performance.

Folkestone Invicta 8-0 Charlton Athletic
Invicta fielded a weaker side which included some of the lower ability team however they still put in a strong performance .Invicta opened the scoring when Lee broke down the right and his cross shot dropped into the net.Charlton broke and Sam Hughes had to be alert to save .Invicta broke and Lee crossed for Harding to fire home his second. Chambers exchanged passes with Wilson before firing wide .However Chambers found the net for Invicta s fourth.Invicta made changes after 25 mins and it was Warde who went close and hit the post.Charlton came back into the game and played some nice football breaking down the line with Causer and froud having to clear their lines .
The 2nd half started with Charlton putting Invicta under pressure with good defending sorting it out .Charlton struck the upright and must thought what had they got to do to score .Pope, J,Hughes,and Thornton forced good saves from the Charlton Keeper.Lake played the ball to Shilling and he beat a defender before slotting home .Chambers got his second from a great run through the centre before firing home.However the goal of the game was a superb move of one touch passing between six players with Turner firing home.Charlton tried to reply on the break but found no gaps in Invicta s defence.Thornton got number seven chesting down a lake threw ball and volleying home .J Hughes broke away and was brought down thirty yards out and from Popes pinpoint freekick Wilson thumped a header into the net for the eighth.
The lads that played today put in a good shift and did not look out of place .Charlton also made it hard this week and played better which tested us especially with the six changes from the week before.
