Invicta kits donated to Burundi Orphanage
This time a year ago, a friend of Folkestone Invicta visited an orphanage in Burundi, Africa.
Burundi, one of the world's poorest nations, is emerging from a 12-year, ethnic-based civil war. Stability appears to be within reach after years of bloody conflict. The government and the last active rebel group signed a ceasefire in May 2008, but post-election tension in 2010 renewed fears of civil war. Half of the population lives below the poverty line.
Whilst visiting Burundi, a collection of Invicta Youth kits were taken to be donated to the orphanage. These photos show what good use an old football kit can be put to, helping to bring a smile to those in a less fortunate position than us.
