Saturdays home league game against VCD Athletic Reserves was postponed. It was a casualty of the wintry icy conditions that have affected the eastern half of the country.

Reserve fixtures for March - Tunbridge Wells at home on March 12th and Whitstable at home on Easter Saturday March 26th (noon kick off).

Folkestone Invicta Reserves drew 1-1 away to Hythe Town reserves when Rob Knott equalised early in the second half after Wesley Ford had opened the scoring for Hythe during the first half at Reachfields.

Due to first team call ups, manager Micky Dix had to make several changes, with new signing from Whitstable Dan Tanner making his debut, veteran Mick Richmond making his first starting appearance of the season and former Hythe striker Danny Gooding also making his debut.

The Invicta line up was: Dan Morrin, Liam Friend, Dan Tanner, Chris Todd, Stuart Taylor, Adam Todd, Shane Spearpoint (Liam Dickson), Mick Richmond, Simon Rainbow, Rob Knott, Danny Gooding (Ben Sly).

The reserves are at home to VCD Athletic reserves this coming Saturday.

Chatham Town Res 5 -1 Folkestone Invicta Res
The reserves missed out on the chance to go top of the Go Travel Kent Football League Division Two when they were beaten 5-1 away to Chatham Town reserves. It was 1-0 to Chatham at half time, but Trevor Morrisson equalised during the second half before things began to go wrong for Mick Dix�s side.

The reserves won 5-2 away to Sittingbourne reserves on a bitterly cold night last Tuesday.

Joe Neilson struck twice to make it 2-0 and Adam Todd hit his first goal of the season to make it 3-0 at half time. Top goalscorer Oliver Waters made it 4-0 with his 16th league goal of the season before Sittingbourne pulled a goal back. Substitute Trevor Morrison made it 5-1 before the home side completed the scoring.

Folkestone Invicta reserves went down to a last minute goal as they were beaten 1-0 on a muddy pitch away to Tunbridge Wells reserves.

Folkestone Invicta reserves went second in the Go-Travel Kent League Division Two table when they beat leaders Bromley reserves 2-0 here last Saturday afternoon.

Rob Knott opened the scoring after 38 minutes when the ball fell to him on the right hand side of the box. And after weathering something of a storm at the start of the second half when the visitors might have equalised, we went 2-0 up after 78 minutes when unmarked substitute Stuart Taylor headed home after Simon Rainbow had got to the bye line down the right hand side. Substitute Trevor Morrison then hit the post during the closing stages.

The Invicta line up was: Dan Morrin, John Walker, Chris Todd, Liam Friend, Will Dunlop, Adam Todd, Simon Rainbow, Andy Morris, Sam Marsh (Stuart Taylor), James Everitt (Ben Sly), Rob Knott (Trevor Morrison). Unused subs: Oliver Waters, Mick Richmond.

Folkestone Invicta reserves won 1-0 away to Sevenoaks Town reserves in their first game of 2005 thanks to a second half goal from substitute Trevor Morrison on his debut.

A controversial last minute goal saw the reserves go out of the Kent Intermediate Cup with a 3-2 defeat away to Whitstable Town reserves last Saturday afternoon. The home side grabbed their late winner when Invicta were expecting an offside flag in what proved to be an agonising defeat for Mick Dix�s side. Two well-taken goals from top goalscorer Oliver Waters had put Invicta 2-0 up at half time as the side played some of its best football of the season. And it was 2-1 going into the last five minutes before the Oysterman first saved the day and then snatched victory.

The reserves were beaten 2-1 at home to Sevenoaks Town reserves in a top-of-the-table clash, with Stuart Taylor scoring our goal. Our cause had not been helped when top goalscorer Oliver Waters was injured in the warm up.

The reserves had drawn 1-1 away to Slade Green reserves in a match during which both sides had a player sent off. Top goalscorer Oliver Waters put us ahead and the home side then had former Invicta player Dave Ward sent off for dissent. But Slade Green came back into things and made it 1-1. Adam Todd was sent off for two bookable offences.

The reserves moved up to second place in the league with a 4-1 win away to Lordswood reserves on Wednesday night, with all the goals coming during the second half. Top goalscorer Oloiver Waters scored two more goals, including one penalty, with James Everitt and substitute Rob Knott also on the scoresheet.

Folkestone Invictxa reserves won 5-1 at home to Beckenham Town reserves on Saturday afternoon. Stuart Taylor opened the scoring with an early goal and Rob Knott made it 2-0. Beckenham pulled a goal back, but Joe Neilson scored to make it 3-1 at half time. Top goalscorer Oliver Waters made it 4-1 and Shane Spearpoint completed the scoring with his first goal of the season.

Folkestone Invicta reserves drew 1-1 at home to Hythe Town reserves on Saturday afternoon thanks to a last minute equaliser when a James Everitt shot deflected in off Hythe defender Danny Porter. Hythe had taken an early lead but had goalkeeper Leigh Holdway to thank for a string of fine saves.

FOLKESTONE INVICTA RESERVES 2 WELLING UNITED RESERVES 2
The reserves had drawn 2-2 at home to Welling United reserves last Wednesday night when the visitors hit a late 25-yard equaliser despite being reduced to nine men due to a sending off and injuries on a wet night. Welling had opened the scoring, but their goalkeeper was sent off for dissent just before half time. Substitute Oliver Waters came on for Invicta at half time and the top goalscorer had made it 1-1 within eight seconds of the re-start following a move involving Simon Rainbow, Andy Morris and James Everitt. Joe Neilson then put Invicta 2-1 ahead with a rebound. Rainbow was close to increasing the lead following a long run through the middle, but Welling's stand-in goalkeeper saved. Goalkeeper Kieran Mann made a late save from 30 yards, but was beaten when Welling saved the day with another long range strike.

Folkestone Invicta reserves came back from 3-0 down to win 5-3 away to VCD Athletic reserves. A nightmare opening spell saw Micky Dix�s side go 3-0 down in the opening 20 minutes, including an own goal from James Everitt.

But Simon Rainbow opened his account for the season to make it 3-1 and then unleashed a 30-yard screamer to make it 3-2 at half time.

Everitt redeemed himself to make it 3-3 with 20 minutes to go and top goalscorer Oliver Waters won the game with two more goals to take his tally to ten for the season.

Folkestone Invicta reserves were beaten in the league for the first time this season when they went down 1-0 away to league leaders Bromley reserves at Cray. The only goal of the game came about five minutes from time, although we came back into things after half time and had some chances to equalise.

16-year-old Oliver Waters scored the first five goals as Folkestone Invicta reserves thrashed Sittingbourne reserves 7-0 at the Westbourne Stadium. It took Walters� tally to eight goals in two games after his hat-trick in the previous week�s win at home to Lordswood reserves.

Waters scored twice in the first half and the added three more in the second half. James Everitt and a first senior goal for Stuart Taylor completed the tally.

Chris Todd made his first start for over two years as the reserves drew 0-0 away to Welling United in their second Go-Travel Kent League Division Two game of the season.

Todd had been out with a serious cruciate ligament injury which halted his career at Deal Town. He had been a member of Invicta�s highly successful youth side which lost away to Millwall youths in the 2nd Round of the F. A. Youth Cup in 1999-2000.

He joined younger brother Adam in the Invicta defence.

On Thursday 29th July the Under 18s / Reserves are playing host to Gillingham Under 19's who completed a very successful 2003/4 season.

The friendly is a fund raising event for the self funding Youth Section the price of admission is 5 per adult and 3 for children and OAPs.

The youth section run teams ranging from U8s Reserves: representing Folkestone Invicta in the Kent Youth League, South East Kent Youth League, Go Travel League

Kick Off 7.45pm @ The Westbourne Stadium
