Division 1 Molten East Kent Youth League / U9's / 22/01/2011

Ashford Borough : 5 Folkestone Invicta : 1

A promising start from Invicta definitley rattled the league contenders and how Invicta were not 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes is still a mystery! At only 2-1 at half-time with a goal from CANDIDO to bring Invicta back into contention brought an end to a very exciting first half.

Unfortunately with no subs the second half was a battle for Invicta, they did not get complacent however and some excellent saves from MORRIS saved the scoreline from being double figures.
A credit to all the team for an excellent display and they can be very proud.

Man of the Match : Brayden Bylett.

Folkestone Invicta : 11 Ramsgate Youth : 0

Invicta were back firing on all cylinders following up the previous 12-0 away victory with another impressive goal fest at home.

Man of the Match GRANT did everything but score and another hat-trick from BYLETT and 4 goals for CANDIDO ended the end of the year on a high with a place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup to follow.

Division 1 Molten East Kent Youth League U9's / 27-11-2010

Ramsgate Youth : 0 Folkestone Invicta : 12

An empathic goal infested win gave Invicta another 3 points and back to back win which was well received and deserved. Everyone played their part and Invicta dominated the game and gave some glorious goals which have been long overdue. In particular MILLER-LESLIE's header into the back of the net and BYLETT's double hat-trick was quite spectacular.

Scorers : BYLETT 6, MILLER-LESLIE 2, CANDIDO 2, GILL 2.

Credit must be given to Ramsgate who still enjoyed the game and kept their heads up even after the goal onslought.

Man of the Match : Brayden Bylett.

Division 1 Molten East Kent Youth League / U9's

Folkestone Invicta : 4 Margate Youth : 1

A long awaited, well deserved win for Invicta at home finally saw some goals. MORRIS pulled off some excellent saves to keep Invicta on a par for 1-1 at half-time and the match was by no means won. Second half was the turning point some great passing and through balls saw another 3 excellent goals to end Invicta's goal drought in the league.

Man of the Match BYLETT did everything but score and long awaited goals for GILL and MILLER-LESLIE which have been coming made for an impressive win.

Invicta : Seb Morris, Jay Prebble, Kyle Kirkin, Mak Ilic (1), Braden Bylett, Brandon Miller-Leslie (1), Reno Candido (1), Jacob Grant, Charlie Gill (1)

U9's Division 1 Youth League / 13-Nov-2010

Kennington Juniors : 4 Folkestone Invicta : 0

A couple of early own goals against Folkestone always had them on the backfoot but the scoreline is not quite a true reflection of the game. However, Folkestone did not capitalise on their opportunities and missed some great chances which could of put them back in contention. The lack of goals inevitably meant there was only one winner.

Man of the Match ILIC and Invictas defence helped ensure Kennington were only dangerous from set-pieces which again the Ashford team were able to do with impressive accuracy.

Invicta : Seb Morris, Jay Prebble, Kyle Kirkin, Mak Ilic, Braden Bylett, Brandon Miller-Leslie, Reno Candido, Jacob Grant, Charlie Gill

Steve Ginger U9's Memorial Cup / 6-11-2010

Deal Town Rangers : 0 Folkestone Invicta : 3

A superb 3-0 cup win over Deal Town for Invicta as they continue their unbeaten run in their league cup and earn themselves an exciting place in the quarter-finals.

An early chance saw GRANT's excellent free kick hit the cross bar and was a taste of what was to come. A great goal from BYLETT put Invicta ahead, they continued to press forward and an error from the goalie enabled BYLETT to slot another one home for his second goal. ILIC's goal took them to a comfortable 3-0 lead at half-time.

An entertaining 2nd half despite no more on the scoresheet. Invicta did not get complacent and continued to dominate the game and create chances and could quite easily have extended the scoreline with Deal struggling to clear convincingly.

Last minute dramas saw Deal awarded a penalty but was saved by MORRIS to give Invicta an awesome win and clean sheet.

U9's Division 1 Youth League / 30-Oct-2010

Trinity : 3 Folkestone Invicta : 0

Another tough encounter for the young Invicta squad and without their main striker, but did themselves proud against a team who are top of the league and annihilating most opponents by 7+ goals lately.
Invicta had to defend for their life and to be only 1-0 down at half-time was a credit to them all. Trinity could not penetrate Invicta's awesome defence from open play and had to rely on free kicks and corners which they certainly could convert when given the chance. A late scrappy goal to make it 3-0 does not really tell the tale of an awesome Invicta display!!

Invicta : Seb Morris, Jay Prebble, Kyle Kirkin, Mak Ilic, Bradon Bylett, Brandon Miller-Leslie, Reno Candido, Jacob Grant

U9's Division 1 Youth League / 23-Oct-2010

Folkestone Invicta : 0 Dynamo : 2

How Invicta did not win this game is still a mystery. They had a couple of great chances early doors, missing an open goal but also seeing a fantastic strike from BYLETT saved in spectacular fashion by the Dynamo keeper.

Dynamo made the most of a corner and went 1-0 up due to an own goal.
A second own goal sealed the game and Invicta really need to end this goal drought!

U9's Division 1 Youth League / 16-Oct-2010

Deal Town Rangers : 3 Folkestone Invicta : 3

This should of been an easy three points for Invicta being 3-1 up at half time. Invicta could not quite keep the momentum going and got slightly complacent during the 2nd half to allow Deal Town Rangers to steal a draw. Man of the Match MORRIS kept Invicta in there to keep hold of a well needed point!

Invicta : Seb Morris, Jay Prebble, Kyle Kirkin, Mak Ilic, Bradon Bylett, Charlie Gill (3), Brandon Miller-Leslie, Reno Candido, Jacob Grant

U9's Division 1 Youth League / 9-Oct-2010

Folkestone Invicta : 2 Ashford Borough : 4

This was always going to be tough game for Folkestone against the joint league leaders. However, on a high from last weeks cup win they all dug deep and with the defence tested at all times with Ashford having most of the possession the scoreline could of been much worse! Invicta tried to make the most of the opportunities that presented and 2 great goals came from GILL and CANDIDO to try and keep the scoreline within reach.

For a moment when 3-2 down Invicta had a couple of exciting chances to equalise and change the game and I think we would of settled for a draw there was only ever one winner. Unlucky boys but you'll bounce back!!!

Steve Ginger Memorial Cup - 9's / 2-October-2010

Folkestone Invicta : 4 St Margarets : 2

An excellent 4-2 win to Invicta earns them a very well deserved place in the last 16 of the Steve Ginger Memorial Cup and proved to be a very exciting cup match.

An early goal from GILL was thwarted by a quick equaliser from St Margarets. Some great passing and working hard for the ball saw a great pass from CANDIDO to GILL which he bent into the top corner to make it 2 -1 to Invicta. Invicta were awarded a penalty for a hand ball and again GILL converted into the back of the net for his hat-trick of 3 -1 at half time.

St Margarets were not without chances testing Invictas defence throughout the 2nd half and some excellent defending from PREBBLE, KIRKIN and MILLER-LESLIE bringing ILIC and BYLETT into play made for a superbly struck ball from GRANT and another awesome goal for Invicta to make it 4 -1. St Margarets were also awarded a penalty which was converted to make it 4-2 . Another flurry from St Margarets could of given them a late goal but a great save off the line from MORRIS kept them at bay in the closing stages.

An excellent performance from a newly formed team dominating their opponents who they had lost to 2 weeks previous only enforces they are getting better with each game! Well done boys!

St Margarets FC Pre Season Tournament / 04-Sept-2010

Invicta started brightly taking a 1 -0 lead in the first opener with an outstanding ball in the back of the net from GILL, but Hawkinge were straight back in the game with a fast equaliser which took us by surprise. Invicta were all over Hawkinge but just could not quite seem to seal the game and a great goal from Hawkinge won the game in the closing stages.

Unfortunately, although there were moments of brilliance from Invicta with great passes and crosses from PREBBLE, GRANT, WRAIGHT and ILLIC to CANDIDO and GILL the 3rd and 4th encounters proved to have shots everywhere but on target. Invicta dominating against Ashford Borough in particular and with a penalty denied should of taken a win.

The last encounter was quite evenly matched and a couple of outstanding saves from MORRIS to keep Invicta in there but a long tiring afternoon, with no subs, took its toll and a goal against Invicta ensued with a one on one with the keeper to end a great afternoon of football for such young players.

In summary, Invicta dominated large portions of all their matches and could of, should of, come away with at least a place in the Semis, but can take away a very encouraging first pre season team performance with new alliances to be made and built on for the coming season.
