Folkestone Invicta fans took to the pitch at the Buzzlines Stadium to take on a team consisting of various players who had played for Rendezvous between 1977 and 1994 - in a match to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Although the fans raced into a 4-3 half-time lead, a much-changed second half lineup for the Rendezvous (owing much to the crafty managerial skills of Ted who called upon half of the Invicta reserve side!) paid dividends as Rendezvous run out eventual winners by 8 goals to 4.
But the aim of the day was to raise as much money as possible for a great cause - and with players fee's, bucket collections, a raffle and a percentage of bar takings, approximately £500 was raised. A big thanks to all those who turned up to play, spectate and donate!
