No problems at Stripes

There are are various harmful rumours circulating about the future of Stripes Club, stating that the closure of the bar is imminent. To confirm the rumours were not true, www.folkestoneinvicta.co.uk this evening spoke to Andy Ingleston, who strongly insisted that this rumour is totally without foundation.

"It is business as usual as far as Stripes is concerned - bookings are good and are being taken well into the new year," he responded when the rumour was run past him. "We would not have invested in repairs to the toilets, had a new boiler installed which has improved both the hot water and heating facilities to both bars, purchased new HD TVs, new flooring, and re-decorated if there was any doubting the future of Stripes."

This is not the first destabilising rumour to have been spread about the future of the Club. Andy would, therefore, ask everybody to ignore such rumours if they are as unfounded as this. An even better solution would be to extinguish them as they start!

As stated, Stripes Club has recently had brand new HD-ready TVs installed, along with a complete Sky HD system.

Sky states that HD television "improves the quality of the picture by up to four times that of normal television" - this upgrade provides a sharp picture on the new 65” plasma TV which has been installed in the front (Cheriton Road) bar at Stripes. A smaller plasma TV has also been installed onto the wall next to the bar for improved viewing from any location within Stripes. This ensures that our fans can enjoy probably the best combination of TVs and Sky HD - meaning the best coverage of live sport in Folkestone.

With these quality additions, Stripes Club has now become one of the top locations to watch live football and other sports on the TV.

Stripes is also available for functions and private hire - contact Jane Smith via the Contact Us page.
