Folkestone Invicta manager Neil Cugley today told www.folkestoneinvicta.co.uk that Herne Bay will be visiting the Buzzlines Stadium next Tuesday evening. Neil will look at trialists and the fitness levels of his squad.
This will include members of the First and Reserve team squads.
The original meeting between the two Kent sides, scheduled to take place on Tuesday 7th October, had to be cancelled at short notice as Invicta faced Chatham in the Carlsberg-sponsored F.A Trophy at Maidstone Road, following a 1-1 draw at the Buzzlines Stadium. Herne Bay player/coach Martin Chandler - himself an ex-Invicta player who spent many years at Cheriton Road - will use the opportunity in a similar manner to Cugley.
The web team believe that the trialists will include a goalkeeper, fullback and a midfielder.
Folkestone Invicta Reserves have a home fixture this Saturday at the Buzzlines Stadium. Cugley is keen to allow local prospects Kieron Byrne, Josh Burchell, Josh Vincent and Billy Swallow amongst others a chance to shine on Tuesday evening, provided they all come through Saturday's encounter injury-free. A full interview with Neil will be available tomorrow lunchtime.
