Seasiders boss Neil Cugley confirmed today that he has sealed the signature of striker David Cory, Whitstable Town's top goalscorer last season.
Cugs announced, "I'd spoken with the ex Whitstable manager Marc Seager over the summer about a couple of players and he said Dave was someone who I might be interested in. We see him as a strike partner for Jimmy D but obviously with players like Yianni and Ratty, he could also play up top with them."
Attacking midfielder Michael Yianni has also agreed terms with Invicta and the gaffer hopes to speak with young triailist Billy Sommerville next week.
"The signings of Dave and Yianni as attacking players improves an area of our play which we needed to improve on so we're pleased we've got the pair of them".
Folkestone play their last two pre season games this week - tomorrow night (Thursday) against Hastings United at the Buzzlines Stadium and Dartford on Saturday at Princes Park.
"I've been pleased with how its gone and I think we've played some great stuff and we're starting to look good and I just hope we can finally get everything sorted out off the field so we can properly get going. We've got a difficult start in the League and we need to be up and raring to go and I'm confident we will be."
Kieron Mann has now signed Ryman and Kent League forms and has made the short journey down to Hythe Town for a few weeks to assist the Kent League Premier side's goalkeeping situation.
The Seasiders only injury worry approaching the start of the season is Liam Dickson (knee) although it is hoped the solid centre half will be available for the big kick off.
A heavy knock to captain Jimmy Dryden sustained against Norton Sports appears to have healed with the striker all set to take his place in the squad for the visit of Dulwich Hamlet to Cheriton Road next Saturday afternoon.
