Folkestone Invicta made it a third successive home pre-season win against Kent opposition in eight days as goals from James Dryden and Sam Henson gave Neil Cugley's side a 2-1 in over Sevenoaks Town at a sunny Buzzlines Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Captain Dryden is the club's record goalscorer and opened the scoring in the 12 th minute, whilst teenage defender Henson added a late second goal as he opened his first team account.
Bill Shinners then hit a late consolation goal for the visitors.
DRYDEN struck when his shot crept under goalkeeper Barry Andrews and into the far corner of the net.
Invicta had to wait until the 85 th minute to increase their lead when HENSON eventually headed the ball in from close range as he challenged goalkeeper Andrews after a Dryden shot was cleared off the line by Toby Webb following a corner on the left.
SHINNERS replied for Sevenoaks with a consolation goal after being put through by Michael Smith.
The visitors had made a bright start as Chris Walker twice shot wide from outside the penalty area in the opening exchanges.
But it was Invicta who went ahead through Dryden and the goalscorer soon let fly again but this time Andrews got down to save.
A Billy Sommerville shot then flashed past the far post from the right hand side of the Sevenoaks penalty area.
At the other end, Guy Smith and Joe Creasy did not make the most of their opening in the 29 th minute when two-against-one and closing in on the Invicta goal.
Darren Smith was desperately close to increasing Invicta's lead four minutes later when his shot came back off the far post following a Sommerville through ball.
Sevenoaks defender Adrian Griffiths cleared from close to his line in the 34 th minute when Michael Yianni put the ball over goalkeeper Andrews from the right hand side.
Smith (below) then shot just over with a free kick from the edge of the Sevenoaks penalty area.
Invicta had some defending to do just before half time when centre half Frankie Chappell blocked a Creasy shot from the left hand side of the penalty area for a corner.
Sevenoaks' Guy Smith blocked a 56 th minute Sommerville shot when Dryden slipped the ball through into the penalty area and goalkeeper Andrews just about touched a 25-yard Smith shot from the left round the post for a corner a minute later.
Following a host of substitutions, Invicta were close again in the 69 th minute when Yianni couldn't quite force the ball in when attempting to round goalkeeper Andrews as Dryden provided when the chance when Micheal Everitt won possession.
Substitute Invicta goalkeeper Kieron Mann touched a 75 th minute Shinners free kick round the post for a corner.
For Invicta, Dryden was wide at the near post four minutes later when Jon Drsicoll played the ball to Everitt down the left hand side.
Andrews kept out a Smith shot when the Invicta midfielder ran purposefully into the penalty area after receiving the ball from Driscoll.
But Henson was soon to increase Invicta's lead.
Mann then got down to touch an Ashley Robinson shot round the post for a corner.
Invicta were close again when Driscoll shot just wide of the far post across goal following a good ball from fellow substitute Peter Williams.
But Sevenoaks struck thanks to a good late finish from Shinners
