Three goals in the final half hour gave Sittingbourne victory in the Kent Senior Cup Final against Folkestone Invicta at the latter's Buzzlines Stadium in front of a 618 crowd on Tuesday night.
For Sittingbourne, it is a first success in the competition since 1958, while for Invicta it is a fourth defeat in the final under manager Neil Cugley.
Colin Richmond, Hicham Akhazzan and Tom Broadbrook scored the goals for Gary Abbott's Sittingbourne after Jimmy Jackson had opened the scoring for Invicta during first half stoppage time.
Invicta had own their Ryman League Division One South play-off final at home to Godalming Town on Saturday but could not hang on for victory again here in their final match of a long season.
And the home' side had captain Micheal Everitt sent off for two yellow card offences in the final ten minutes.
Everitt, along with central defenders Frankie Chappell and Liam Friend, had played in all 51 games Invicta have played in all competitions during 2009-10.
Veteran playmaker JACKSON had put Invicta ahead when he rifled in a good strike past goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim after he had latched onto a ball into the penalty area from one-time Gravesend team mate Darren Smith.
But Sittingbourne were the better side during the second half and RICHMOND equalised in the 62 nd minute when he headed in a cross from Braodbrook from the right hand side.
Brickies' top goalscorer AKHAZZAN then put Sittingbourne ahead from close range in the 72 nd minute after the ball ricocheted in the Invicta penalty area when Jimmy Bottle put in a low cross from the left after receiving the ball from Joe Horlock.
Everitt was booked after a high 83 rd minute challenge on Richmond and was then dismissed by referee Lee Venamore for bringing down substitute Ryan Golding as the visitors broke after a corner at the other end.
And Invicta conceded again when goalkeeper Jack Delo had gone up for a stoppage time free kick and could not get back to his goal in time as he instead attempted to tackle Golding but could not prevent the substitute from finding BRADBROOK who hit the target to seal his side's victory.
It was the first time this season that Invicta had lost after scoring the first goal in a game.
And it was Sittingbourne captain Joe Dowley who lifted the cup for his side.
The game had started on a sunny evening that soon turned into a cold wintry night with a touch of rain.
Invicta striker James Everitt headed at Ibrahim when Josh Burchell got forward in the third minute, while Invicta goalkeeper Delo got up to hold a Bradbrook header on the quarter of an hour mark after a Bottle corner on the left.
The home' side had another half chance in the 18 th minute when Ibrahim got down to save after central defender Liam Dickson got forward and shot from distance.
Sittingbourne's Karl Dent blocked from Simon Austin in the 26 th minute when Dickson met a Smith ball into the penalty area after a corner on the left.
The stalemate continued as Chappell headed away a Richmond cross from the right on the half hour mark.
Ibrhaim scrambled across to touch a Jackson shot round the post for a corner in the 39 th minute and Sittingbourne centre half Matt Bourne got back to clear when a Smith ball over the defence sent James Everitt racing away down the middle three minutes later.
And Jackson's goal sent Invicta in ahead at half time.
But Sittingbourne made a purposeful start to the second half as Bradbrook drilled a low ball across the Invicta penalty area from the right hand side within a minute of the re-start.
Richmond shot over from the edge of the penalty area in the 50 th minute and Invicta defender Friend first cleared and then headed away when the ball came back in a minute later after Bradbrook broke down the right again.
Delo then had to save when Bradbrook got a 56 th minute shot in from the right hand side of the penalty area.
And Sittingbourne were able to turn the game around with two goals in a ten-minute spell.
Invicta went 4-3-3 as Peter Williams replaced Burchell and Smith shot over in the 75 th minute when Jackson played the ball into the penalty area in a move started by defenders Chappell and Josh Vincent down the right.
Friend then got across in the 79 th minute to clear from Bottle when Billy Manners played the ball forward.
Invicta brought on James Dryden and Roy Guiver late on to finish the game with their three substitutes up front.
But it was Sittingbourne who struck again when Delo came unstuck as he ventured forward.
Invicta's Smith, Chappell and James Everitt were all booked during the second half, along with the dismissed Micheal Everitt who had once been captain on a loan spell at Sittingbourne.
